Description:
It is a typical medium to coarse grained Božanov sandstone used as decorative stone. It has a light cream color and a massive structure, as is visible in Figure 1. In addition to its light colour, the sandstone may also be coloured by ferrous pigments, i.e. it may be ochre, locally up to red. Different variants of pigmented Božanov sandstone are represented in Figures 2 to 4.
