Description:
Liberec granite from the Ruprechtice quarry is coarse grained and is characterised by a pinkish colour due to the high content of relatively large (up to centimetres) phenocrysts of potassium feldspar (orthoclase). Its appearance is unique and unmistakable on a national scale. A typical example of raw stone is shown in Figures 1 to 3; Figure 4 represents a cut stone and Figure 5 a polished stone.
