Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

Záměl sandstone is fine up to medium grained quartzose glauconite sandstone with a wide range of colours. Its base colour is light, accompanied by mild ochre ferrous pigmentation, as shown in Figure 1, by distinct orange up to reddish-brown colouration (see Figures 2 and 3) or clear colouring of various shades of grey (Figures 4 and 5) or various combinations of the above listed colours (Figure 6).
