Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

Even though the quarry is located in the cadastral area of Dolní Skorošice, it is closer to the village of Žulová, i.e. it is located on its northeastern boundary, approximately 100 metres east from the railroad track connecting Žulová and Kobylá nad Vidnavkou, on the northwestern slope of the Boží hora hill. Local people call it "Jašek" after the former long-term owner. At the time of sampling, the quarry was not mined, but it was being prepared for mining by removal and processing of piles. Geological conditions do not allow mining of large rock blocks.
