Description:
Sedlčany granite is medium grained, grey (greyish blue), rarely dark grey. It contains clearly visible phenocrysts of light feldspar with a size of up to several cm. A typical example of the stone is shown in Figures 1 and 2. Sporadically the stone contains dark basic clots (see Figure 3) and ochre ferrous pigmentation near fracture surfaces, see Figure 4. Figure 5 depicts polished granite.
