Typical Nečín granite is medium grained, light grey, as depicted in Figure 1. Top layers also contain granite with ferrous pigmentation evenly distributed throughout the whole mass (yellow granite), as shown in Figure 2. Pink veins in the stone are rare (see Figure 3). Distinctly coloured granite of various ochre, red or even green shades may be found near fractures, as is documented by Figures 4 and 5. Figure 6 shows a polished surface of Nečín granite.
