Description:
Granite from the Kozárovice I quarry is almost identical to granite from Kozárovice II. It is medium grained, grey but unlike granite from the nearby located Vachatovka and Kozárovice quarries, it does not contain feldspar phenocrysts. Typical examples are shown in Figures 1 to 3. The stone also contains dark basic clots (see Figure 4) and rarely also light veins up to 1 cm thick (see Figure 5). Figure 6 shows the polished granite surface.
