Description:
Stone from the Kozárovice quarry is identical to the granite from the nearby Vachatovka quarry. It is medium grained, grey up to greyish-blue. Locally it contains larger feldspar phenocrysts of pinkish colour, as well as dark grey or black basic clots, normally of several centimetres. Ferrous pigmentation can only be found on fracture surfaces or next to them. Typical granite from the Kozárovice quarry is shown in Figures 1 and 2; Figure 3 depicts a dark basic clot and Figure 4 represents polished granite.
