Description:
Vlčkovice granite is coarse grained, grey up to greyish-blue. Typical granite is shown in Figure 1. A relatively thin layer between the capping bed and grey granite contains ochre granite with ferrous pigmentation (see Figures 2 and 3). The stone locally contains dark basic clots, shown in Figure 4, and rarely also light veins (Figure 5). Figure 6 shows a polished surface of Vlčkovice granite.
