Description
The Horní Bříza quarry is located about 2 km north from the village of Horní Bříza. It is accessible via Na Kaolince Street, which turns north from the main road leading through the village (from Tovární Street). Similarly as in the nearby Kaznějov quarry, sand is the by-product of the mining of kaolin. The stone is quartzose, angular and light coloured. The supplied fractions are 0-1, 0-4, 4-8 and 8-16 mm.
