Description:
Sandstone from České Kamenice is fine grained, distinctly pigmented on the surface and in layers, typically of different shades of ochre or brown, as is shown in Figures 1 to 4. Locally the stone may be pink or red coloured (see Figure 5). Fossils creating darker round spots of approximately 2 cm are common in the sandstone (see Figure 1 and 6).
