Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

The quarry is located on a forested hill, east from road No. 409 leading from Panské Dubenky to Domašín. The access road to the quarry turns southeast from this road at the southern border of Panské Dubenky (the Perka settlement). Granite blocks are mined by blasting off the wall. The quarry is commonly called Máca by the locals after the traditional stonework of the Máca family, who is still the operator of the quarry. Mined stone is processed into gross stonework products at the quarry; stone blocks intended for fine stonework products are transported to a nearby stonework plant in Kaliště. The stonework processing plant is not situated directly in the village but about 450 metres northwest from road No. 134 near the Bělohradský pond. The plant is owned by the Máca family and is equipped for cutting, polishing, jetting and daubing the granite. The granite can be processed into round shapes using programmable circular saws.
