Description
The Kopaniny pit granite quarry is situated 900 metres southeast from the village of Dolní Město and is easily accessible from the road connecting this village with Lipnice nad Sázavou. Mined stone blocks are processed into gross stonework products directly on the quarry site. A fine stonework shop located next to the quarry is equipped for granite cutting (circular saws, wire saws), including arch cutting, and for surface treatment (daubing, jetting, polishing). In addition to granite from the Kopaniny quarry, this stonework production plant also processes stone from the Horka and Pavlov quarries.
