Basalt (or tephrite to be exact) from Dubičná is typically dark grey with greenish-black inclusions of pyroxene with a size of approximately 3 mm (see Figures 1 to 3). It contains ferrous pigmentation located in a narrow band along column surfaces (see Figure 4). These surfaces are usually ochre up to brown, as is documented by Figures 4 and 5.
