Description
The sand quarry is situated about 500 m southeast from the village of Čavyně and is accessible via the road leading from the village to road No. 141. The material is mined by an electric floating grab excavator from a 10 m thick wall under the surface, and is then transported by belt conveyors to the nearby processing plant. Here it is washed and sorted into fractions of 0-1, 0-3, 0-4 and 4-22 mm.
