Description
The three-storey sand quarry is situated about 1.5 km west from the village of Hrušovany near Brno and is accessible from the southbound road from Ledce leading parallel to the R52 expressway. The material is mined from the wall using loaders and then sorted into a fraction of 0-4 mm. The quarry also produces unsorted sand of 0-8 mm and sorted and unsorted fractions of larger grain sizes.
