Description
The sand quarry is situated on the edge of the forest between the villages of Borohrádek, Čestice and Světlá, around 1.5 km to the southeast of Světlá. It is best accessed via the road that leads off to the sand quarry from highway No. 36 between Borohrádek and Čestice. The sand is quarried from the face by loaders and sorted into 0-2 and 0-4 mm fractions.
