The fine-grained to medium-grained quartz sandstone is generally various shades of yellow ochre to reddish-brown, as can be seen in pictures No. 1 to 4; in places it contains purplish-black pigmentation, but very light, creamy sandstone can also be found, with almost no iron oxide colouration (see picture No. 5).
