Bzová sandstone is medium- to coarse-grained and grey in the base, as shown in pictures No. 1 to 5. It is typically abundantly coloured with iron oxide pigmentation in various shades of ochre to brown, as seen in pictures No. 2 to 4, while there is very intensive colouration at fault points (see picture 5).
