Typical Lipová marble is dark grey with distinct banding of lighter shades, creating bands that are several mm up to several cm thick (see Figures 1 and 2). Figure 3 shows a local variant of Lipová marble with irregular ferrous pigmentation and Figure 4 depicts polished marble.
