Description
The Prosetín I quarry area is situated on the western edge of the village of Prosetín, to the south of highway No. 306 that leads to Mokrýšov. It includes the three neighbouring former open-pit quarries – Zachův, Holcův and part of Beneš quarry. Quarrying restarted in Zachův quarry in 2014 and granite is also planned to be quarried in the other quarries. The granite is quarried in blocks using explosives and is processed for coarse stone production on site.
