Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

The quarry is located in a forest about 200 m north from the Žulová VI quarry. It is accessible via a turn from road No. 456 leading north towards Dolní Dvůr, from which, after about 400 metres, a path leads west to the quarry. It is a medium sized quarry with good accessibility with a southern and south-western mining wall, which is about 200 metres long. Geological conditions and equipment of the quarry enable mining of blocks of up to tens of tonnes. The quarry, as well as the Žulová II (Huttung) and Černá voda quarries located nearby, is owned by Slezský kámen, a.s. The quarry owner has equipment for processing granite up to fine stonework products (cutting, polishing, grinding, jetting, etc.).
