Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

There are four active quarries near Kozárovice. The Kozárovice I pit quarry (also called Soukup or quarry of Jan Soukup) is the closest situated quarry to the village centre, about 300 m east. Kozárovice I is accessed via the first eastbound turn in the village on the road leading from Kožlí. The mined blocks of stone are processed into gross and fine stonework products in a well-equipped production plant located on the quarry site. The equipment includes circular saws, wire saws (with the option of arch cutting), surface jetting and dipping equipment. The operator specialises in granite products for exteriors.
