Description
The granite pit quarry is located in a forest about 900 metres southwest from Ctětín, near the road connecting the settlement of Ctětínek with Nová Ves. Stone blocks are mined by blasting. The capping bed contains oval erratic boulders that are used commonly in garden architecture. The granite is processed to gross stonework products near the quarry and is transported to the fine stonework production plant in Prosetín. Here it is cut or surface-treated (polishing, jetting, daubing).
