Description
An extensive pit quarry located about 200 m south from the D 11 highway in a field between the villages of Vyšehořovice, Horoušany and Nehvizdy. The quarry primarily contains shale, a rock used mostly for production of chamotte. Shale has a grey colour due to the presence of organic substances. Shale layers alternate and in places permeate to layers of sandstone, which is mined together with shale. Stonework production is not available on the site; however, the owner is able to provide it.
