Description
The two-floor quarry is located on the edge of a forest on a slope rising above the Labe basin. It is easily accessible via a turn from road No. 30 between Malé Žernoseky and Litochovice nad Labem. The stone is mined by blasting of up to 10 m high walls and then processed in a stonework processing plant situated near the quarry. In many places the stone is broken off in columns with a diameter of up to 1 metre. It is used mostly for construction and gardening architecture. The stonework processing plant is equipped with a circular saw for the production of tiles and facings with a thickness of 30 to 50 mm.
