Stones, sandpits and limestone quarries in the Czech Republic

This limestone is a light ochre colour in the base, in places also light grey (see Figure 6). It is richly coloured in various shades of ochre to brown, over the surface and particularly in layers, as can be seen in Figures 2 to 4. Figure 5 shows the dark-brown colouration that occurs in faults, while Figure 6 shows the impression of a fossil, which are not particularly rare in Kopanina limestone.
